PRAYING THE ROSARY WITH ST. JOHN PAUL II
During his papacy, Pope John Paul II ardently encouraged the faithful to return to the Rosary - his own favorite prayer. He demonstrated his love for it by praying all the mysteries every day, and by writing, speaking, and preaching about it. He knew from his personal experience of prayer that we come to know the person of Jesus Christ through Mary and the Rosary.
With this book, you can pray the Rosary with the saint who loved it so much...
This rosary is made of dark gray 6mm hematite beads. The centerpiece has an image of Pope John Paul II with an inscription in Latin that reads: IOANNES PAULUS II PONT. MAX, which means JOHN PAUL II, PONTIFEX MAXIMUS (Chief Priest or Supreme Bridgebuilder). On the reverse is an image of the Holy Spirit as a dove. At its end is the famous broken papal cross habitually associated with John Paul II. It is imported from Italy.
What a great pouch for carrying your rosary or other devotionals in! On one side is an image of Pope St. John Paul II, extending his hand in blessing. On the other is an image of the Divine Mercy of Jesus, raising his right hand in blessing and pointing with his left hand to the Sacred Heart from which flow forth two rays: one red and one pale. The pale ray stands for the Water which makes souls righteous. The red ray stands for the Blood which is the life of souls.

O God, who are rich in mercy and who willed that Saint John Paul II should preside as Pope over your universal Church, grant, we pray, that instructed by his teaching, we may open our hearts to the saving grace of Christ, the sole Redeemer of mankind.
